50 Fabulous Men Who Cook
...is similar to a style of fundraising event that is sweeping the nation. In Western PA, Samaritan Counseling Center is the first nonprofit to hold an event of this nature. What makes it so unique? Our “Men Who Cook” are top professionals and community leaders, but as “chefs” they are strictly amateurs. No worries—these guys can cook up some amazing dishes! VISIT EVENT SITE.
As leading businessmen, our cooks will also be raising money for Samaritan—but not through the traditional, expensive corporate sponsorship. We request that each chef set a fundraising goal of $1,000 which we will equip them to attain.
Please join us—as either a guest or a cook—for this delightful, fun event which will be held again this fall.
GUESTS: Come for an evening featuring appetizer, main dish and dessert tastings
prepared by 50 fabulous local men who aren’t shy about showing off their
culinary skills. Wine/liquor tastings will be included as well as live musical entertainment and opportunities to mingle with other
guests and tip your favorite “chefs.” Prizes will be awarded to the top chefs
in each food category based on those who have raised the most money. Cash Bar. Valet Parking Provided.
COOKS: Gentlemen—do you think you are fabulous enough to be one of the 50? Whether you prepare your dish of choice off site or at the event, you will have your own cooking and serving station, “tip” jar, and the opportunity to showcase your business.
As a chef, you’ll also be raising funds to support Samaritan Counseling Center’s Client Aid Fund. We’ll set you up to succeed by providing marketing tools to help you reach out to friends and contacts. Our goal is to have each chef raise $1,000.
Samaritan will supply: flatware, paper products, aprons, cooking/serving stations, ice, chafing dishes and cooking burners. Chefs should plan to bring their own: pots, pans, foods, seasonings and utensils such as ladles, spatulas, tongs and other items needed for cooking/serving.
