All therapists of the Samaritan Counseling
Center are licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and/or certified by a
professional organization. They represent a variety of professional backgrounds,
including: clinical psychologists, licensed social workers, marriage and
family therapists, pastoral counselors, and bereavement counselors. All
of our therapists have at least one master's degree, as well as a minimum
of five years of experience.

Carl L. Baughman, M.Div., M.S.
Executive Director and
Therapist
|
Carl received his Master of Divinity
degree from Bethany Theological Seminary, Richmond, Indiana
and his Master of Science in Counseling from Wright State
University, Dayton, Ohio. He has also completed graduate work
at Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, Indiana;
Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois;
and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He completed a two year residency in marriage and family studies
and pastoral counseling at Indiana Counseling and Pastoral
Care Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. He has dual ordination
with the Church of the Brethren and the Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ). Before becoming the Executive Director of the
Samaritan Counseling Center in 1994, Carl pastored the Emmanuel
Church of the Brethren, Dayton, Ohio, worked as a psychiatric
social worker, and directed a counseling center in Butler,
Pennsylvania.
He is a Clinical Member
and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapists.

Kris is
a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her
undergraduate degree from Westminster College and her Masters
in Science in Human Development, Counseling and Family Studies
from the University of Rhode Island. She is a Clinical Member
of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists
and has 15 years experience providing family therapy. Prior
to working at the Samaritan Counseling Center, Kris was a
full-time supervisor of family therapists in an agency setting.
Kris has also worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh,
the Pittsburgh Mediation Center, and has been an instructor
at Duquesne University. Kris works at our Sewickley office.

Kristen Drucis, M.S., LMFT

| Penny
is a Licensed Social Worker who, prior to joining the Samaritan
Center, worked in the school setting. In that position she felt
she could not impact families nor address the spiritual aspects
of life. As a result of these limitations, Penny returned to school
and obtained a Certificate in Marriage and Family Studies from the
University of Pittsburgh as well as her Master of Divinity from
Pittsburgh Theological University. She is in the process of becoming
ordained within the United Methodist denomination. Penny works in
our Beaver, Butler and Cabot offices.

Alexandria McCabe,

Alexandra received her
Masters Degree in Expressive Psychotherapy from Lesley Graduate
School in Cambridge, MA. Prior to working for the Samaritan
Center, she worked for Family Counseling Service, Westhampton,
NY and for Options in Psychology, Scottsbluff, NE. Alexandra
works with children, adolescents, adults and families. She
works in our Sewickley office.
Alexandra is a member of the American Art Therapy Association,
Pittsburgh Association for the Arts in Education and Therapy,
and the Child Health Association of Sewickley, PA.

| Jim
is a Licensed Social Worker who received his Master of Social
Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Before working
for the Samaritan Counseling Center, Jim had worked for Summit
Behavioral Health, Chambersburg, PA and Three Rivers Youth,
Pittsburgh, PA. Jim has 18 years of experience in the mental
health field as a therapist. Jim works in our Butler, Cabot
and Beaver offices.

received her Master of Social Work from the University of
Pittsburgh. She is a Licensed Social Worker. Prior to joining
the staff of the Samaritan Center, Martha had experience at
Staunton Clinic, Sewickley, and Mercy Behavioral Health, Pittsburgh.
Martha sees clients at our Sewickley office.

Phil received his Bachelor of Arts in
Religion and Philosophy from Davis and Elkins College, Elkins,
West Virginia and his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological
Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey. He is an ordained Presbyterian
and has served several congregations in Pennsylvania. Phil
has taken additional training in bereavement care and counseling
and has worked for several hospices in the Pittsburgh area.
He is co-founder of the Children's Grief Network whose mission
is to provide training for teachers and other professionals
who work with grieving children, as well as conducting presentations
to parents groups and organizations.
At the Samaritan Counseling
Center, Phil conducts support groups for persons who are coping
with the experience of loss and grief.

| Carla
is a Licensed Social Worker who received her Masters of Social Work
from the University of Pittsburgh. She attended Boston College for
her undergraduate studies and also earned her Master of Public Management
from Carnegie Mellon University. Carla also attended the Gestalt
Institute in Cleveland for advanced training. Prior to coming to
the Samaritan Center Carla worked at St. Francis Outpatient Treatment
Program as well as being a group therapist at Carlow College. Carla
works at our Bakerstown office.

Since the Samaritan Counseling Center is incorporated
as a not-for-profit corporation, the group charged with overall operations
is the Board of Directors. The Board is composed of persons from the various
communities we serve, as well as religious organizations, sponsoring organizations
and a variety of professional backgrounds. The primary duties of the Board
are to raise funds to insure the on-going financial needs of the Center,
establish policies, review budgetary concerns, and evaluate services rendered.
