Spiritual Direction

The Spiritual Direction program provides a unique type of counseling to those who are seeking God’s wisdom and direction for their life. This confidential, one-on-one relationship with a Spiritual Director seeks to explore who God is, where God may be leading you, how to relate to God more fully, and how to let God guide you to a greater sense of purpose and healthier way of living. Spiritual Direction can also provide practical guidance by exploring how faith impacts your relationships, your work life, your decision-making, and your fears and anxieties.

Spiritual Direction can also be sought for a group of people looking to deepen their commitment to God in a retreat setting. In these cases, the Spiritual Director will work closely with group leaders to design a retreat for people such as a church staff, church members, or support groups that will help to deepen their commitment and understanding of God in their life and work. Spiritual Directors can work within the context of any religious traditions and no attempt will ever be made to impose a particular belief system. Spiritual Directors will focus on becoming open to new ways of seeing life from a spiritual perspective.

Spiritual Direction is not the same as psychological counseling, although there is some overlap. It will help to bring you closer to becoming the person or group that God intends for you to be.
