BACK to Clinical and Support Staff
Where you will find Carol:
Samaritan's Gibsonia office.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Spiritual Director
Carol Stenger, MSW, LCSW, ACSE
Carol shares: “I believe in holistic living and rely on my faith and prayer life as I live each day.”
“Following the call of the Spirit, I try to embrace the words of St. Paul, quoting a short section of his letter to the Ephesians: 3:14-21…“Planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have the strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth until knowing the love of Christ which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God. Glory be to God whose power working in us can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine...”
Carol received her Masters in Clinical Social Work
from West Virginia University; a Masters in Religious Education from Seattle University; and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Sacred Heart University in Conneticut. Carol is also a Reiki Master/Teacher and integrates this into her daily life. Before coming to Samaritan, Carol was in private practice for 15 years in Clarion County and then served in administration for the Congregation of Divine Providence for five years.
In her dual roles as a counselor and a spiritual director, Carol believes that serving on Samaritan's staff is a joy and a blessing. Her goal is to help her clients explore and grow in their awareness of their own giftedness, face their concerns, and believe that they are one of God's beloved. Regardless of whether someone has received therapy or spiritual direction, or both, Carol adds that her hope for all people she serves is for them to continue on with the tools and beliefs they need to live their lives fully.
