Licensed Professional Counselor, Catherine Fox, joined Samaritan in 2022, offering a wealth of expertise in treating children, adolescents, and families. She sees clients via teletherapy and in-person at our Beaver and Sewickley offices.  Catherine brings specialization in bereavement and in working with autistic youth. Her certification training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy enhances her ability to effectively treat trauma, depression, anxiety and borderline personality.

Catherine’s personal journey with the Lord coupled with a strong desire to more deeply understand God’s heart for restoring his children to wholeness, has led her to intensive instruction in healing ministry. She has seen how the power of prayer coupled with professional psychological training is the perfect combination to bring lasting transformation to her clients. She draws from the Immanuel Approach and the training of Dr. Bob Schuchts of the John Paul II Healing Center.

Catherine's previous work experience in Pennsylvania includes program management and staff supervision at Glade Run Lutheran Services and treating autistic youth at Wesley Family Services. 

 

Originally from the United Kingdom, Catherine worked as a Team Leader and Senior Marketing Consultant for Google in London. She also taught English in Austria where she designed language courses. Her work also included fundraising and overseeing charity events. Moreover, Catherine is fluent in German.

Catherine earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, and her Master of Science in Psychodynamic Counseling and Psychotherapy with Children and Adults at Birkbeck, University of London in the United Kingdom. Catherine grew up in England and has dual nationality in the UK and the US. She is married and has two little boys and a puppy. She is a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
