Raised in the heart of Amish Country, Pastor Tara R. Lynn hails

from Lancaster County, PA, where she learned to make fasnachts

and all the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch delicacies at an early age.

 

Pastor Lynn came to Pittsburgh when it was time to attend college at the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh, and her heart has been in Pittsburgh ever since.

 

Pastor Lynn’s early career was spent working in social service agencies, until it became apparent that seminary was calling her name. She attended seminary in Columbus, Ohio, at Trinity Lutheran Seminary and was ordained in 2010. She has served her current congregation since 2015.

 

When she isn’t making fasnachts, or with her congregation, Pastor Lynn enjoys the company of her husband, Pastor JJ Lynn, and her son.
