Dr. Mary Pontzer, who has a practice in Wexford, is Samaritan’s consulting psychiatrist. Dr. Pontzer participates in our monthly case conferences, lending her professional expertise on client cases presented at the conference by Samaritan’s therapists.
A 1979 graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Dr. Pontzer served her residency in Pediatrics from 1979-1981 at Drexel University/ Hahnemann University Hospital and her residency in Psychiatry from 1998-2001 at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh. She is certified in Psychiatry and Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry.
Dr. Pontzer's career spans several decades. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Anxiety Phobic Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Bipolar Disorder, Depressive Disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
