“Before coming to Samaritan, I went to two other Centers. I was hesitant to try again, but I knew I needed help.

At the end of my first session, my counselor said it took a long time to get where I was and it would not be solved overnight. I believed him.

“The world we live in is getting more complicated and difficult to sort through every day. People retreat from real human contact by using the internet, texting, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Often when we retreat from physical contact with people, we lose the support of others and fail to learn good coping skills. This makes a place like Samaritan even more important for the future.

“Places like Samaritan Counseling cannot exist without people willing to support it financially. I was blessed to be able to pay for my counseling, buy many cannot.

“I value the life changing help I received at Samaritan. I am at peace with who I am and I know I’ve done everything I can do to heal the emotional damage.”

“God uses others to help us heal and works in our lives through other people. My Samaritan therapist has been a very significant person that God has worked through in my life. I am thankful to her for helping me find myself again and remember my value is in Him. I am His child; my life is in His hands! My therapist has been a great blessing in my life and I thank her for everything.”

“My counseling at Samaritan has given me my sanity, awareness and how to handle problems within myself and with my adult children. It has given me peace of mind and a feeling of being free of negativity.

“Without the discount (Client Aid funds) I would not have been able to come for counseling and work for inner healthiness.”

“I am truly grateful for the financial help enabling me to receive counseling through Samaritan. It has literally helped me change my life for the better."

Through the counseling I received, I have learned how to start accepting and loving myself and how to protect myself and my own heart in caring for others.”

“I can go to counseling at Samaritan because it is affordable. I’m not sure what it costs for counseling at other places but when you are on Social Security with a small pension—plus meds to buy—help is appreciated.

After being diagnosed with cancer, my children encouraged me to

go for counseling. I now have the tools to cope with my condition and

it is such a relief to be able to talk things out with someone who is

not family.”
