"My aim is to work with you in a way that is tailored to you, that the evidence of progress is apparent in your day-to-day experiences and relationships. Through a strength-based approach and evidence-based practices the goal is for you to feel a greater sense of autonomy, belongingness, and competency.” - Connor Rinebold
Licensed Professional Counselor, Connor Rinebold, counsels men and women in person at our Upper St. Clair office as well as via teletherapy. With specialized training in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and substance abuse disorder, he brings not only solid skills and experience, but also, in his own words, “expectations (from all people he works with) of being treated with acceptance, positive regard, empathy, and trust.”

Connor has a reputation for going above and beyond, demonstrating a deep commitment to helping people heal using a variety of treatment methods. Prior to joining Samaritan’s clinical team, he worked for UPMC in their Narcotics Addiction Treatment Program as well as for their Bellefield/Magee program where he provided psychotherapy, treatment planning, establishment of safety plans, and implementation of assessments for clients referred from the general mental health clinic, and pre- and post- partum mothers.

Connor earned his master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from the university of Rochester Warner School of Education in Rochester, NY, after graduating from La Roche University in Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s in psychology.

In addition to his work as a therapist, Connor serves in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a commissioned officer (Army 1st Lieutenant) where his leadership and ability to cultivate positivity and cohesiveness have been praised by his superiors.
