Who Should Attend: Counselors interested in integrating spirituality from an understanding of the language, practices and beliefs of diverse Christian denominations
Among the many items you will explore are the Spirit-Mind-Body relationship, spiritual assessments and resources, spiritual struggles, and intervention. Learning objectives will include:

Where spirituality and religion intersect and diverge.

Increased understanding of your spiritual approach.

How to do a spiritual assessment.

How to identify your clients’ implicit and explicit resources.

How to use three types of resource-focused interventions.

How to differentiate healthy from harmful spirituality.

Understanding the beliefs and language of different Christian denominations.

This program is offered for 3 hours of social work continuing education through co-sponsorship of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work, a Council on Social Work Education-accredited school and, therefore, a PA pre-approved provider of social work continuing education. *These credit hours satisfy requirements for LSW/LCSW, LPC and LMFT biennial license renewal.
