My sessions with Jennifer, came at a turbulent time as I was seeking a divorce and trying to manage care for my elderly mother. Therapy helped me gain coping skills necessary not to spiral downward into depression. My transformation is that I am a much stronger person. Jennifer helped me recognize the importance of self-care. I have more confidence when speaking up if something makes me uncomfortable. It was a pleasure working with Jennifer during the rebirth of the new and more confident me.

A situation occurred that caused me deep sadness, extreme anger, and dark thoughts that consumed me. I felt helpless and sought counseling at Samaritan. Self-awareness was the main tool my therapist taught me. Being self-aware of my thoughts and feelings has dramatically changed my life! I still get angry, depressed, and have dark thoughts, but I now recognize what these feelings are about and how to deal with them. I am forever grateful for how Samaritan changed my life!

I didn’t know what to do. I felt I was at a point where nothing could be done. But at Samaritan, I found peace, comfort, and acceptance. Everyone has issues, but my issue no longer defines who I am. I gained control of my life. The disorder and anxiety weren’t controlling me anymore. I want to thank the people who contribute to this organization. Samaritan helps us get our lives back together when we’re at our lowest point.

This organization is such a blessing to my family! We were able to find just the right therapist to meet our child’s clinical and spiritual needs. Our child has felt completely supported throughout the therapy journey and always looked forward to the sessions. Our child willingly uses the tools that are being taught in the sessions throughout daily life. We are truly grateful for Samaritan!

I’ve been a long-time patient of Samaritan. I cannot praise enough the therapy I have received or what an incredible professional my therapist has been. I have been in therapy with others in my life that were never able to help… some due to them and some due to me for not being completely honest due to fear of rejection or judgement. If anyone who truly wants the help and works hard at it… I really recommend Samaritan! Thank you for it all!

For me, when working with a coach, it is critical that they can understand and be intentional about my faith stance and incorporate that into our coaching. My mission statement for my life is to glorify God in all that I do, and so that is why it is so important to me that any coaching that I receive is centered around biblical truths. This is one of the reasons that I chose to work with Rachel as she is able to give me Christ-centered feedback and coaching that aligns with my faith.

God uses others to help us heal and works in our lives through other people. My Samaritan therapist has been a very significant person that God has worked through in my life. I am thankful to her for helping me find myself again and remember my value is in Him. I am His child; my life is in His hands! My therapist has been a great blessing in my life, and I thank her for everything.

After experiencing multiple traumatic losses, I had become overwhelmed with grief, anxiety, depression and PTSD. I was referred to Samaritan by my pastor. My therapist was very professional yet caring, warm and friendly. She earned my trust right away. Over several months of meeting with her I have been restored to a new and improved self. I'm confident now that if life throws me another curve ball, I will step up to the plate and hit it out of the park. Thanks to my therapist and Samaritan Counseling.

Counseling saved my marriage. It enabled me to find joy in life again and regain my confidence. What I received at Samaritan is beyond what I had found with other counselors. I am very grateful.

When I looked for a therapist after my loved one died, I wanted to talk to a person of faith. I remembered Lynda from a presentation I attended, so I sought her out through Samaritan. Therapy that involves how we think and feel and how we address things is critical. But I am more than my thoughts and feelings. Discussing the importance of my soul and its care is sacred for me. Having someone who recognizes the sacredness of this is important. Lynda welcomed “my whole person.”

Counseling led me on a path of self-advocacy. Through the help of my counselor, Jennifer, and committing to do the work, I developed tools to not just accept what is handed to me. Working with her enabled me to acknowledge who I am. By becoming uncomfortable in discovery, I grew into a more confident version of me. Me 2.0! My story is not unique, but necessary. My sincere aim is that I can help others recognize the need for their own journey. Samaritan saved me and I am grateful!

Rachel is an awesome coach! I had felt "stuck" in my business. I needed help to break down the day-to-day obstacles that were holding me back from reaching the next level. Rachel is the best at listening and finding the source of the problem. What I liked the best about coaching was that we talked. It’s not her following some pre-scripted program. Rachel helped me out so much that I hired her to coach my managers. If you’re feeling "stuck,” do yourself a favor and contact Rachel.

I am truly grateful for the financial help enabling me to receive counseling through Samaritan. It literally helped me change my life for the better. Through the counseling I received, I have learned how to start accepting and loving myself and how to protect myself and my own heart in caring for others.

My counseling at Samaritan has given me my sanity, awareness, and how to handle problems within myself and with my adult children. It has given me peace of mind and a feeling of being free of negativity. Without the discount (client aid funds) I would not have been able to come for counseling and work for inner healthiness.

My time with Rachel helped me improve and overcome a plateau in my personal and business life. Her strategies, sessions, and knowledge helped guide actions I wouldn't have thought of on my own, which assisted my growth. I recommend Rachel to anyone in a similar situation.

I want to thank Women Helping Women in Need for extending the financial help I needed to pay for my last therapy appointment. I really appreciate the help as I do not yet have a job. Thank you for your help at this difficult time in my life.

When I first came to Samaritan for assistance in dealing with the torture my son had endured that ended up leading to his death, I could barely stumble through a few sentences before choking on tears. My therapist, Bob, stood beside me. Now I am able to speak about my sweet Nicholas and his story without being shredded into bits of confetti. I have gone to court sessions, faced ugly truths, and stood strong because of this wonderful organization. Thank you and well done.

Growing up, I experienced a lot of uncertainty, hopelessness, and emotional situations. When I got to high school, this began to impact my life. I reached out to my pastor, and he recommended me to Samaritan’s counseling services. I struggled with having hope for my future, controlling my anxious thoughts, and managing conflicts with my relationships. However, my counselor taught me the necessary skills to cope with the stress of life and incorporated my faith into our sessions.

Before coming to Samaritan, I went to two other Centers. I was hesitant to try again, but I needed help. I value the life-changing help I received at Samaritan. The world is getting more complicated to sort through every day. I am now at peace with who I am, and I know I’ve done everything I can do to heal. Samaritan cannot exist without people willing to support it financially. I was blessed to be able to pay for my counseling, but many cannot.

I was living a rocky up and down life. I had two failed marriages and figured I was a screw-up. My Samaritan therapist saw that I suffered from bipolar disorder and referred me for medical treatment, too. I realized I had been suffering from this for the past 40 years of my life. I discovered why I did the things I did and how to accept myself. My therapist’s use of Christian principles in my counseling made a positive impact too. Samaritan literally saved my life.
