“It is important to me to build a relationship with my clients and develop a healthy, therapeutic alliance with them, so we are working together to reach their goals. My goal is to help them be the healthiest, happiest version of themselves they can be.” - Alicia Norman

Alicia, a licensed professional counselor, treats adults, teens, and families from Samaritan’s Gibsonia and Butler offices as well as via teletherapy. Believing that all people are unique and important and created to be just who they are, she is client-centered and inclusive in her approach, “meeting her clients where they are in their walk.”
Experienced in a variety of treatment modalities, Alicia most often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, determining which is the most appropriate and helpful for each individual in her care. She believes strongly in empowering her clients to develop healthy coping skills and enjoys introducing them to mindfulness practices to deal with anxiety, sobriety, and trauma responses. Possessing several credentials regarding trauma-informed care, she is especially helpful to clients facing crises in their lives.
Alicia earned her Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University in Virginia in 2015.
Alicia shares: “I believe in this crazy world that we have all been wounded in some way or another. People struggle to learn the healthy way to move past those injuries. I believe we can own them as beautiful scars, proving that we have survived.”
