Beth Healey

Director of Development and Marketing

 

Coming aboard in November of 2011, Beth plans and directs Samaritan's fundraising, marketing, and donor relations efforts, which includes the supervision of a grant writing team and database coordinator. She enjoys her hands-on role in writing and designing Samaritan's communications.

​

Beth’s background in communications, marketing, graphic design, media relations, and fundraising includes experience in the nonprofit sector since 1999. Since she joined Samaritan’s leadership team, Beth has significantly enhanced the organization’s brand, updated and expanded marketing efforts, increased its stakeholder base, established a donor relations protocol, and streamlined digital and other development processes. She grew the number of foundation funders by 100% and secured funds for capacity building, space planning, programs, and the purchase of an electronic medical records system.

Prior to Samaritan, she served as the Public Relations Manager at Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh. Earlier in her career, after earning her undergraduate degree, Beth worked at Mellon Bank Corporation (now BNY Mellon) as a graphic artist and unit supervisor in the Marketing Department.

​

​Beth is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Sewickley Nonprofit Consortium, and past member of Pittsburgh Professional Women. Beth has also served as a member of: the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership (GPNP), the Public Relations Society of America, Clear Channel Radio's Nonprofit Advisory Board, and the North Side Chamber of Commerce.

 

​Beth was an elected member and past president of the Hopewell Area School District’s Board of Directors where she also served on the contract negotiations committee, the local Council of Governments, as the Beaver County Legislative Chairperson and as the liaison to the PA State Board of Education. She has volunteered for numerous activities in her community, churches and schools.

​

​Beth is married and has a son, Ethan. She is an avid reader and enjoys creating and appreciating art in all forms and spending time with her family and friends.
