Beth Healey
Director of Development and Marketing
BETH HEALEY has served as Samaritan’s director of development and marketing since 2011. In this role, she forecasts and raises the funds needed to sustain the Samaritan Cares program and support general operating. Beth leads Samaritan’s fundraising, communications and marketing, and donor relations efforts, including research, grant writing, and supervision of a database coordinator. She also takes an active role in writing and designing Samaritan’s communications, including the organization’s website and annual report.

Beth brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, design, media relations, and fundraising. She strengthened and enhanced Samaritan’s brand, expanded its stakeholder base, streamlined digital and development processes, doubled foundation support, and secured funding for capacity building, space planning, programs, and an electronic medical records system.
​
Before joining Samaritan, Beth was public relations manager at Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh where she also raised funds, wrote grants, planned and managed events, and wrote and designed the organization’s marketing and communications materials. Earlier, she worked at Mellon Bank Corporation (now BNY Mellon) as a graphic artist and supervisor in the marketing department.
Beth has been active in professional and community organizations, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Sewickley Nonprofit Consortium, Pittsburgh Professional Women, Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership, Public Relations Society of America, Clear Channel Radio’s Nonprofit Advisory Board, and the North Side Chamber of Commerce. She also served as an elected board member and past president of the Hopewell Area School District Board of Directors, where she held leadership and liaison roles, and has volunteered extensively in her community, churches, and schools.

​Beth is married and has an adult son, Ethan. She is an avid reader and enjoys creating and appreciating art in all forms, browsing antique stores, decorating her home, visiting coffee shops, and spending time with her family and friends.
