The Rev. Dr. Standish presents a workshop at the 2022 Pittsburgh Pastoral Care Conference.
Helping Pastors and Churches Thrive in an Age of Decline
Samaritan offers a robust Caring for Clergy and Congregations program. We are committed to helping pastors of all denominations become healthier, better leaders of more vibrant congregations.

Coaching and Spiritual Direction
Pastors often struggle with resistance, envisioning new directions, and healing their congregation's wounds (as well as their own personal wounds). To address these and other ministry leadership challenges, Samaritan provides one-on-one coaching and spiritual direction through an integrative approach in all of these areas.
Pastor Leadership Renewal Groups
Samaritan offers monthly small groups for pastors that focus on developing stronger leadership.

Transformational Ministry Workshops
We offer a number of workshops for clergy on how to further develop and improve their ministry skills. These workshops are rooted in research and actual experience from transforming churches, focusing on areas that seminaries and denominational groups often have not. They include:

-
Dealing with Personality Disorders in the Church,
-
Congregational Group Dynamics,
-
Pastoral and Congregational Discernment
-
Leading Churches through Transformation

Creative Clergy Consults
Sometimes pastors need someone to think through ministry and mission ideas. We offer help in thinking through your ideas, and guidance on how to pragmatically make them a reality.
Preaching Consultations
We offer a strength-based approach to helping pastors improve their preaching in ways that help them adapt to a changing culture by learning how to communicate complex ideas in fresh, new ways.
