As a Psychotherapist, Carla applies her expertise in the principals of Gestault Therapy* to multiples areas of clinical specialties, including Couples Therapy, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Addiction, Suicide Training, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and many others.

 

In addition to providing outpatient therapy at Samaritan Counseling, Guidance, Consulting since 2002, Carla presents Psychoeducation lectures for schools, churches and community groups in areas such as Family Dynamics, Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Couples Retreats, Meditation, and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention. She also runs a Female Pastors Support Group. Carla is passionate about her work and deeply committed to helping people heal and become healthy.

 

Carla earned a Master of Social Work from The University of Pittsburgh, Master of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and her two-year certification in Gestalt Training for Professionals in Pittsburgh. In Gestault Therapy, self-exploration and self-adjustment provide an emotional release that allows clients to move forward in their lives.

 

Carla enjoys gourmet cooking and traveling abroad with her husband, Jeff Turconi. Carla and Jeff have two children.
