Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Cindy Everett, joined Samaritan in 2023, offering expertise in treating adolescents and adults. She sees clients via teletherapy and in-person at our Rochester and Sewickley offices. Her background includes both direct and indirect practice in the mental health field. Prior to working with Samaritan, Cindy was a program manager and therapist with The Chill Project by Allegheny Health Network. During her time with AHN, she oversaw programming, provided supervision, and saw students and families for therapeutic services.  Cindy also has experience in crisis management and stabilization as a primary group therapist for a UPMC partial hospitalization program.

Cindy takes a person-centered, non-judgmental approach to therapy that is rooted in compassion and empathy. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to assist clients in meeting their goals. Cindy has experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief, and trauma.

Cindy earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She also completed all requirements for the Home and School Visitor (HSV) Certification, issued by Pennsylvania’s Department of Education. Additionally, Cindy has Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Human Services from Geneva College.

Outside of work, Cindy enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and Australian Shepard dog, Oswald.
