Kristin has worked for Samaritan since 2000, counseling individuals, couples and families. In addition to providing traditional outpatient therapy, Kristin offers "Couples Intensive Counseling." Four hours in duration, Couples Intensive Counseling can be scheduled on short notice (for crisis situations) on any day of the week, including weekends. During this session, couples counsel with Kristin both individually and together, The longer time frame allows enough time for Kristin to perform a thorough assessment, provide feedback, and offer a clearly defined plan of action by the end of the session. Kristin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Westminster and her Master’s from the University of Rhode Island’s graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Kristin has completed numerous trainings which include: Infidelity, Treating Personality Disorders, Gender in Therapy, Grief, Trauma, Integrating Spirituality and Psychotherapy, Eating Disorders, Blended Families, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Bi-polar Disorder and more. Most recently, she earned her certification in Relational Life Therapy.

Kristin shares: “Having established my own mindfulness meditation practices over the years, I am working to understand how to integrate this into therapy. This is exciting to me, as I believe there is a strong link between the ability to soothe oneself and soothe others, both essential for individual and relational health.”
