Na'Shaya Oden

Resident Therapy Intern

BACK to Clinical and Support Staff 

Na’Shaya Oden is an empathetic and understanding student Intern who is currently enrolled as a MSW (Master of Social Work) student enrolled at PennWest: Edinboro. Na’Shaya graduated with her B.S. in Psychology from Clarion University, where she developed an interest in understanding human behavior and mental processes.

Na’Shaya has experience working in the mental health field. She was previously employed as a Blended Service Coordinator where she partnered with clients with various mental health backgrounds to create and implement individualized service plans and meet the goals they deemed as necessary to be more functional.

​

During her undergraduate years, Na’Shaya excelled academically and actively engaged in various extracurricular activities. She was a member of the university’s Psychology Club, where she participated in discussions and events focused on mental health awareness and advocacy. Additionally, she was actively involved in Student Government where she assisted in the planning and execution of several activities on campus. Na’Shaya also served as the Vice-President of Programming and Ritual and President of her college sorority. Na’Shaya currently the Vice-President of her Alumna Chapter. She is also a cheer coach and values the time she spends with her family and serving her community.

Na’Shaya is continuing her education to pursue her passion for helping others. Her academic journey in social work has provided her with insights into the complexities of human relationships, social justice, and the diverse needs of individuals and communities. Her mission as an MSW intern is to apply her knowledge and skills to empower individuals while promoting mental and emotional well-being. Her education and experiences have equipped her with a solid foundation in psychology and social work principles, enabling her to make a meaningful impact.

Na'Shaya is known for her empathetic nature, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to create positive change in the lives of those she serves. As she embarks on her career in social work, Na'Shaya remains dedicated to providing support, advocacy, and care to individuals from all walks of life. She is committed to lifelong learning and growth in her profession, ensuring that she continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
